Choosing the best location for your photography session.

I absolutely love to shoot outdoors, there are so many beautiful and picturesque locations in the local area that we really are spoilt for choice!

When booking a shoot, some clients have a very set idea on where they want there session to take place, this could be a special place to them and they want to capture memories there or they just love the place, this often takes me to new places which is amazing because I love exploring and being outdoors. However on occasion I do get asked for my recommendations, So I thought I would create my 'go to' list of places that I absolutely love and that make the perfect backdrop for your photography sessions.

So here we go!!

  1. Valley gardens- This is such a beautiful place for family photos.

  2. Thrusscross reservoir - One of my favourite reservoir's. such beautiful woodland walks which wrap around the whole reservoir.

  3. Fewston/ Swinsty reservoir- Beautiful views and gorgeous woodland walks

  4. Bolton Abbey - stunning site with rivers, bridges and ruins. perfect for the whole family to explore and capture some amazing images.

  5. Burnsall- Stunning river and views.

  6. Brimham Rocks- Amazing location known for its stunning rock formations.

  7. Harlow Carr- Beautiful gardens which are stunning all year round.

  8. Linley woods- This wood is amazing during blue bell season! The wood floor is covered in a sea of blue. I will defiantly be hosting a mini session here this year.

  9. Knaresborough- beautiful river, castle and gardens.

  10. Cold stone cut- A slight hill walk but the stunning views up at the top make the climb so worth it.

  11. The stray- Especially in spring when the blossom is in full bloom! A sight not to be missed. I will be hosting a mini session here this year so keep your eyes peeled for more information on this very soon,

  12. Birchfield farm- An amazing place for the whole family and they have seasonal events which need to be documented.

  13. Stainburn Forest- Absolute stunning woodland walk.

  14. Ripley castle - Beautiful castle and grounds. You can either go inside the castle grounds or there is even a walk around the castle which is also just as beautiful.

  15. Nidd gorge - Stunning woodlands and the best bridge, perfect for portraits and family session's.

  16. Malham cove - Both the village and the cove are great locations for family photos.

As you can see we are definitely not short on stunning locations. Now onto the hard part...…. How do you choose!!!

If I have missed any then please do let me know in the comments I
